Los Angeles, USA – A couple who have not been able to travel for the purposes of posting pictures on their Instagram or quirky couples videos on TikTok because of the Covid-19 pandemic, have finally been able to to travel abroad.
Ashleigh and Derek, were avid travelers before the pandemic. They garnered a large Instagram following by posting generic pictures of their love. They are also known for posting cringey videos of playful affection between each other over inspirational soundtracks on TikTok.
The global pandemic put that to and end. Ashleigh and Derek were not able to travel for over 16 months. Followers and engagements on their social media began to dwindle. Ashleigh had several panic attacks over her fear of losing relevance on social media.
However, after being double vaccinated, they were finally able to travel to France and start producing their embarrassing displays of love for the world to see.
Despite this, the couple are upset that they have had to pay for PCR tests over and over.
“Like, I understand there’s a pandemic, or whatever, but seriously, this is too much. I know we’re well off, but having to keep shoving these q-tips down my throat or up my nose give me anxiety. Plus, why do I have to keep paying for this? I’m a free woman, I should be able to travel wherever I want without having to go through all this crap. It’s so stupid. Seriously.”

When told that Covid is an airborne disease and easily transmissible, Derek said, “Then why the hell did we get this damn vaccine? I mean if we’re still going to get the ‘rona, its uselsss. We gotta pay for these tests and stand in line for a few minutes. Seriously, I could be doing so much more with the time it takes to do all this.
Both Ashleigh and Derek claim that paying for PCR tests punishing them for wanting to enjoy their life.
“We’re Americans. We are free people. We shouldn’t have to jump all these hurdles just to travel wherever we want. Plus, I make money off my social media posts and I can’t even write these damn PCR tests off on my taxes. It’s an expense!”

Last year, Derek’s uncle Bob lost his life to Covid. And Ashleigh’s mom and brother died just before the couple went on their trip, while her father remains in ICU after contracting the respiratory illness at a Republican rally in his home state of Alabama. Despite this, the couple still insist that these minor inconveniences are violations of their human rights.
